Salem Witch Trials (100 words) The Salem Witch Trials of 1692 represents the centre of a horrible tragedy, which had changed the life of many people. However, it was a difficult mag because of the bad crops and diseases. These trials were a series of hearings before local magistrates followed by county court of trials to prosecute people accused of witchcraft. During the 1600s a large act of English immigrants arrived in New England, however, the leaders of these settlers were Puritans. They were Protestant Christians who were sorrowful with their church in England and decided to come to New England so they could practice Christianity in a pure way. They believed that every word in the Christian tidings was the true word of God and was to always be followed.
